We have had a lot of changes in our life the past year. The beginning of January, is when we found out that we were expecting our first baby, later to be name Josie. This started many changes that were heading our way. Knowing this, kicked our house looking into high gear. We had to get out of our little condo. We applied for the it is possible program from Lombardo homes, to have they help us get out of our condo, and into one of their homes. Finally, we recently were able to make the move. Now, settling into our new community, we are becoming accustomed to many more life changes. The family life. It hits you hard and fast. although you have nine plus months to plan to be a parent, reality does not hit you until you are trying to keep your eyes open long enough to feed your child in the middle of the night. The sudden lack of sleep is a real "eye opener" to the life of a parent. Then a few months go by, and you start to anticipate the night when your kid will sleep thru the night, and by that all you are asking for really is six solid hours. It is a joyous time when this happens, even if it is not consistent, it gives you a ray of hope that it will be and soon. When it happens, it happens unexpectedly. We had been getting in the habit of preparing bottles ahead of time, so that it would make the middle of the night feeding much smoother. This is a great idea while she is getting up every few hours. Then she did it! She slept thru the night. The bottle that you had still out from earlier, has now gone bad. That's right six ounces of irreplaceable breast milk has to be thrown down the drain. I just about cried. That was my hard work on my lunch hour that day. Well, each day is a new day, and we will take on tomorrow what we could not handle today. This is a new theory that I have learned by being a parent as well. So here we are the end of a very eventful year. I am excited to have had so many great experiences this past year, and I look forward to so many more new, surprising, challenging , and eventful life changes that are yet to come in the year ahead.
